To do our part to conserve our natural resources, and to reduce our energy footprint, we make small, sensible, and sustainable habits every day.

LPM is dedicated to making our business more sustainable and keeping our communities healthy for our team members and residents. To ensure we leave our planet in better shape, we are committed to reducing our energy footprint and conserving our natural resources.

We achieve this by integrating sustainable practices throughout our operations, enhancing our communities, and putting policies in place to help guide our progress.

Go Green

Read our Go Green guide for ways in which you can reduce your energy footprint and conserve our natural resources.

Sustainable Practices
We have reduced paper usage at our properties nationwide by implementing digital signatures and electronic team member files, lease applications, and lease agreements. By "going green" with our paper usage, we have significantly reduced the use of printer ink cartridges.
Enhancing Communities
Being a responsible property owner means taking a long-term interest in operating energy-efficient and sustainable buildings. For example, we install low flow toilets, showerheads, aerators for faucets, and LED energy-efficient light fixtures. At some properties, we install energy-efficient windows and smart thermostats.
Strategic Policies
We designed and implemented a 4-minute shower program to provide our residents with a timer and encourage them to shower in four minutes or less. Since the average American uses 2.5 gallons of water per minute when we shower, reducing your time by one or two minutes can save five to ten gallons of water each day. "We will never know the worth of water till the well is dry."
No Smoking Policy
LPM is stepping up to the plate and unveiling our new Breathe Easy Program! This foundational move addresses sustainability and safeguards the health of our valued team members and residents. Our No Smoking Policy combines environmental responsibility with community wellness to offer the following positive impacts:

  1. Environmental Stewardship: Our commitment goes beyond words. With the Breathe Easy program, we're actively combating cigarette butt pollution, ensuring cleaner streets, healthier waterways, and more vibrant natural spaces.

  2. Resident Wellness: Your well-being is our priority. By implementing a No Smoking Policy, we're creating an environment that promotes healthier living and reduces exposure to harmful secondhand smoke.

  3. Community Empowerment: Together, we're making a difference. Through the Breathe Easy program, we're fostering a sense of collective responsibility and uniting our residents and staff toward a cleaner, greener future.
